Météo France places the Var on yellow alert for the wind, gusts of nearly 100km/h expected overnight

The wind will blow during the night from Monday to Tuesday March 26 in the Var. To the point that Météo France has placed the department on yellow wind alert from midnight to 10 a.m.

In detail, gusts of around 100 km/h are expected, particularly along the coast, from Fréjus to Hyères, while the wind will blow on average at nearly 60 km/h.

Up to 65km/h inland

Inland, it will also blow, but to a lesser extent, with gusts which should not exceed 65km/h.

Note, however, that this easterly wind will gradually pick up throughout the day on Monday, from the east to the west of the department.
