The producer of ‘Metro’ has said that even though my son is an avid Ajith fan, he will not let Ajith’s ‘Strength’ go unnoticed.
Ajith starrer ‘Valimai’ has been released recently and is said to have grossed over Rs 200 crore. In this case, the film’s producer Jayakrishnan has filed a lawsuit against the film as a blatant copy of his film ‘Metro’.
He said that the story of the film was unknown to anyone before the release of ‘Strength’ and that after the release of the film, the director of ‘Metro’ received a series of messages saying that the ‘Metro’ film had been copied and he had forwarded the messages to himself.
He later said that he was shocked to see that the story of ‘Metro’ was the same as when he saw the film and that he had subsequently consulted with legal experts about the copyrights and filed a case seeking compensation of one crore rupees.
He said that if the producer of the film was from Tamil Nadu, he would have talked to him directly but he had gone directly to court as the producer of the film was from Mumbai.
His statement that he is an ardent fan of his son Ajith but will not leave the case alone has caused a great stir.
