Michigan emphatically kept the number of undefeated teams in college basketball at six on Sunday, dominating La Salle with a resounding 102-50 victory.

Frankly, few games the Wolverines have played this season have been truly competitive, and the last five weeks have been particularly one-sided. they’ve won eight straight contests by double-digits – averaging a remarkable 34.3 points per win – and continue to hold the No. 1 spot in Monday morning’s updated rankings for the 13th consecutive day.
“It was great to see our guys, especially in the second half, play with a lot of joy,” said michigan coach Dusty May. “They played the game the way it’s supposed to be played.”
The Wolverines now enjoy their longest break of the season before returning to action a week from Monday against McNeese. They’ll then resume Big Ten play on January 2 at home against USC, but won’t face another team currently ranked in the Top 25 until a January 27th home game against Nebraska.
Nebraska, mirroring Michigan’s success, is also undefeated and sits at No. 13 in the rankings. Four other teams remain without a loss: Arizona, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, and Miami Ohio.
