Not all documents and files on Windows are visible to users. With a few clicks you can unmask these files.
Anyone looking for system files will have a hard time finding them in Windows. Because the system hides the files by default. For good reason: The files are necessary for the operating system to function smoothly and should not be deleted or renamed. If you want, you can still use a trick to display the files.
Find hidden folders and documents
Some documents should not be found at first glance by other PC users. There is the “Hide” option in the settings for this. But how do you find these hidden documents again? Show hidden system files
First open Explorer and then select the ” button in the menuOrganize, folder and search options“. If you don’t see the button there, you will find it under the ” tabAdvertisement“under the button”Options” rightmost.
A window will now open and here you can switch to the tab again.Opinion“. Scroll down to the sub-item “Hidden files and folders” and select “Show hidden files, folders and drives“. Click “Take over“.
View super secret system files
Now almost all hidden files can be seen. However, there are also the super-hidden files. These are still invisible. The reason: Hidden files have the “Hidden” file attribute, while super-hidden files also have the “System” file attribute. To also see these files, switch on the option “Hide protected system files (recommended)“. Click on “Yes, take over“. Now you will see the super hidden files on your hard drive.
