The era of artificial intelligence is upon us and the world’s largest companies are looking for new partnerships to strengthen their AI capabilities.

Microsoft, hoping to partner with Samsung, has scheduled a high-level meeting between the two companies next month, Day.Az reports with reference to Gagadget.

The head of Samsung’s semiconductor business, Kyung Kye-hyun, has been invited to the MS CEO Summit 2024, which will be held on May 14 in Redmond, Washington. Microsoft founder Bill Gates and CEO Satya Nadella will hold private meetings with the head of Samsung’s semiconductor business to find new areas of collaboration that advance AI partnerships.

Microsoft is reportedly interested in exploring opportunities to jointly develop and supply AI chips with Samsung. The company may also be interested in bringing some of its AI software services to Samsung electronic devices. Much of the work is done by Google’s AI services in Galaxy AI, and Microsoft hopes its services will also be integrated into Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite of apps, which is currently available on 100 million devices and will only grow in the coming years.

In addition to Samsung, Microsoft also invited executives from SK Hynix, LG Electronics and SK Telecom. Experts emphasize that invitations from Microsoft to the leadership of leading technology companies in South Korea do not happen often. This demonstrates that Microsoft is serious about creating alliances that will contribute to its success in the field of artificial intelligence.
