Juventus had the chances, Milan was the winner, however, by 0-0 in the great Serie A derby, which largely determines the 2nd place in the standings.
Juventus and AC Milan were held to a 0-0 draw at the Allianz Stadium for matchday 34 of Serie A, in a game where the Bianconeri came close to scoring more times but the Rossoneri emerged victorious in the battle 2nd place.
The match started with a setback for Milan as Mike Menian suffered an adductor injury and was replaced by Marco Sportiello.
The match was quite balanced, without any team managing to dominate the pitch. The “rosoneri” had more time with the ball at their feet, but the emergency solutions in the lineup due to the many absences in the defense made it difficult to create.
The Bianconeri had more good finals, but neither Dusan Vlahovic nor Kenan Yildiz, who were preferred in attack, were able to threaten Sportiello.
The 2nd part started in a different way. Juventus had a very good double chance, but Sportiello said no again, while Milan responded with a great moment of their own, but Manuel Locatelli managed to clear.
Rafael Leao’s advances had no effect, as a result of which the two coaches started making changes. Massimiliano Allegri dropped Arcadius Milik and Federico Chiesa, Stefano Pioli was forced to withdraw Olivier Giroud through injury and use Noah Okafor.
As time went on, Juventus became more and more dangerous, with finals testing Sportiello’s reflexes. The Italian was unbeaten despite the “old lady”‘s important moments and Milan kept her five points behind in the battle for 2nd place.
