Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin signed three important files after assuming charge as the minister.
Chepakkam-Tiruvallikkeni Constituency Assembly Member Udayanidhi Stalin today took charge as Minister of Youth Welfare, Sports Development Department and Special Project Implementation Department and visited the Chief Secretariat. At that time he signed three important files for the promotion of Tamil Nadu traditional sports and for the welfare of sportspersons.
Match for Chief Minister’s Trophy:
During the closing ceremony of the 44th Chess Olympiad, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin announced that state and district level Chief Minister’s Cup games for the Olympic Games and two traditional sports of Kabaddi and Chilampattam will soon be held. At this stage, in the Chief Minister’s Cup for 2022-23 organized by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, including Kabaddi and Silambatta, the ancient traditional sports of Tamil Nadu, state competitions were held in only one category in 10 sports in the past.

Ms. Nivedita from Coimbatore district who won the silver medal in the 25m Standard Pistol women’s individual category in the Junior World Championship held in Lima, Peru from 27.9.2021 to 10.10.2021 by the International Shooting Sports Federation was awarded Rs.
