Ministry of Health Chairs Board of Directors Meeting for National Center for Mental Health Promotion

The Minister of Health, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, Engineer Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajil, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Center in its second session, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors formed from several sectors.

The meeting reviewed a report on the most prominent recommendations and decisions of the previous council in its first session, and the developments that took place regarding the progress of the work and tasks of the center, regarding which a number of important recommendations were taken.

The Council emphasized the necessity of benefiting from the observations and recommendations received from the Shura Council, and striving to develop the work and tasks of the Center in a way that contributes to enabling it to perform the role assigned to it, in addition to the Council’s approval of re-forming the committees emanating from it with defining their functions and roles assigned to them, and adopting administrative and financial regulations. He also emphasized the review and updating of the strategic plan of the National Center for Mental Health Promotion, and the enhancement of the center’s budgetary resources in cooperation with partners, in addition to studying the center’s revenues, including the addiction component among the priorities of the center’s strategic plan, and raising any challenges that may face its work.
