The event, themed “The Grand Universe: The Power of Love. The Power of Thailand,” will unfold from today until November 21, 2025, across three key cities: Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya, Chonburi Province. According to a company release, the competition isn’t simply about crowning a new Miss Universe; it’s about positioning Thailand as a global stage for beauty, love, and cultural expression.
“Thailand will not only be the host,” a senior official stated. “But it will be a stage that reflects the power of love, beauty, and cultural identity to the world. We will make the 74th Miss Universe a pageant that the world will remember.”
Launch Event Highlights Thai Heritage
The official announcement was made at a grand press conference held at the MGI Hall, Bravo Bkk Rama 9 Shopping Center. The event was attended by beauty queen enthusiasts, Thai and international media, and was hosted by Ploy Amendine Glasset, the 3rd runner-up of Miss Universe Thailand 2025.
The opening performance was a spectacular display of Thai artistry, featuring Kratae R-Siam (KT KRATAE) and a special appearance by Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek. Their performance blended traditional elements like Khon (masked dance drama), Thai music, and Muay Thai with contemporary rhythms in the song “Bangkok City,” complete with English lyrics designed to resonate with an international audience. Attendees described the performance as “extremely powerful,” and “giving goosebumps in every scene.”
Global Contestants and Reigning Queen in Attendance
The event also featured the presentation of the 120 contestants representing countries from around the world, each showcased in luxurious evening gowns. Adding to the prestige of the occasion was the presence of Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, the reigning Miss Universe 2024, who attended the event and captivated fans.

MGI has committed over 100 million baht to the organization of the 74th Miss Universe, signaling a substantial investment in Thailand’s tourism and creative economy. The final judging round is scheduled for the night of November 21, 2025, at Impact Challenger Hall 2, Muang Thong Thani.
