The police: Ohadi Hirukim without equipment Aidud for the month
Following the lighting of the flares and pyrotechnics as part of the Cup derby game between the Greens and the Reds held at the “Sami Ofer” stadium in Haifa, the Carmel Police decided to prohibit for one month only the introduction of cheering equipment into the stadium, except for drums, which means that in the season’s game of the champion against the Yellows, the Maccabi team Tel Aviv, which will soon be held in the fortress of the Yellows at the “Bloomfield” stadium as part of the 19th round, on Monday 01/23/2023 at 20:30, the champions’ fans will have to manage in the stands without the cheering equipment.
The police told Lai Pa:
“From the inspection of the security cameras in the northern stand, it is clearly seen that the lighting of the flares was conducted under the auspices of using flags and equipment in order to hide the performers. The flares that were lit as mentioned contain a pyrotechnic explosive mixture and smoke-emitting materials that are dangerous for inhalation and their introduction into the stadium is prohibited according to the law for the prohibition of violence in sports. During the game, arrests were made against some of the suspects who helped hide the flares, after locating and documenting the use of pyrotechnics on the security cameras. It is important to note that following the lighting of the flares that spread over the northern bloc, there was a real fear of a fire.”
Meanwhile, we will add and point out that it is within the authority of the Carmel Police to prevent the team’s fans from bringing in cheering equipment even at the team’s games held outside of Haifa, since there is full cooperation between all the Israeli police headquarters.
