The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE proceeded this morning on the site of Bindougousso, in the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso, to the laying of the first stone of the tomato processing factory. Covering an area of ​​3 hectares, this factory is part of the community entrepreneurship program initiated by the Head of State.

For Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, who spoke to the press after the ceremony, it is a memorable day which marks the realization of a vision developed by the Transition.

“Captain Thomas SANKARA said: “dare to invent the future”; and we add by us and for us. This is what motivated us to embark on this endogenous development,” indicated the Head of State.

According to the President of the Transition, the laying of the first stone, three months after the launch of the community entrepreneurship program, is a sign of the population’s enthusiasm for subscriptions.

“This is the place to thank the Burkinabè of the interior and the diaspora, and to encourage them to continue subscriptions. It is by ourselves that we can do everything for the Burkinabè,” argued Captain Ibrahim TRAORE.

The Head of State reassured subscribers of the mechanisms put in place for transparency in the collection and management of their subscriptions.

The Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), Karim TRAORE, who delivered the official speech of the Head of State, maintained that the tomato processing factory will hire more than 5 billion FCFA of investment. It will ultimately create more than 100 direct jobs and 5,000 indirect jobs.

The governor of the Hauts-Bassins region, Mrs. Mariama KONATE/GNANOU expressed the recognition of the populations of the Hauts-Bassins region to the Head of State for the establishment of this factory.
