Russia’s losses in the war in Ukraine as of the morning of Wednesday, October 18, amounted to 620 occupiers, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 290,050 military personnel. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a plane and six helicopters.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy’s total combat losses from 02/24/22 to 10/18/23 were approximately:
personnel – about 290,050 (+620) people were liquidated,
tanks – 4981 (+2) units,
armored fighting vehicles – 9420 (+15) units,
artillery systems – 6944 (+8) units,
MLRS – 814 units,
air defense systems – 547 units,
aircraft – 319 (+1) units,
helicopters – 323 (+6) units,
UAV of operational-tactical level – 5301 (+10),
cruise missiles – 1534 (+1) units,
ships/boats – 20 units,
submarines – 1 unit,
automotive equipment and tank trucks – 9303 (+10) units,
special equipment – 982.
Situation at the front
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops continue to conduct defense in the east and south of Ukraine, an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction. Over the past 24 hours, 69 military clashes took place.
In particular, as stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced north of Kleshchievka in the Donetsk region and succeeded in the direction of Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region, in particular to the west of Verbovoy. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also note that the intensity of Russian attacks near Avdiivka has decreased.
