All eyes will be on the Moroccan selection today. And for good reason, a year after being the first African team to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup, the Atlas Lions arrive as favorites and aim to win the trophy. Coach Walid Regragui makes it a personal matter.
What happened yesterday
Bertrand Traoré, hero of Burkina Faso: in a dull game, the Burkinabè were jostled by a playful Mauritania. It took the entry at the end of the match of the emblematic Bertrand Traoré and a penalty for the Stallions to win (1-0).

Cheikhou Kouyaté leaves the Senegal team: the tough midfielder of the Teranga Lions hastily left the group on Tuesday due to some very bad news: the Nottingham Forest player lost his father. The player flew to Dakar to attend the funeral.
Finish the football game: Italian champion with Naples, best player in Africa, Victor Osimhen believes that he will have “achieved everything” when he wins the CAN with Nigeria. As he already has the Marc-Vivien Foé prize, awarded by RFI and France 24, we can only agree with him.

The Namibians brought down Tunisia (1-0) at the very end of the match to claim the first victory in their history in the African Cup of Nations, for their 4th participation. A historic performance that they celebrated at length after the match!
