“The Moscow Marathon has been canceled. We are forced to postpone the event to 2022 due to the epidemiological situation … Despite what happened, we continue to work to keep the races in October, ”said Mr. Tarasov. The Moscow Half Marathon is scheduled for October 24, and the Fast Dog and Fox Mountain cross-country races, as well as the Night Race, are scheduled for early October.

Mr. Tarasov said that the organizers of the Moscow Marathon have already produced medals, banners, equipment for volunteers and other attributes of the 2021 marathon. “Without exaggeration, we did everything to preserve the race and its continuity,” he said.

In 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the dates for the Moscow Half Marathon and the Night Run were shifted twice: initially they were supposed to take place on May 16 and June 19, respectively.
