Palakkad ∙ Mother and child died during delivery surgery in Chittoor. Anita, a native of Nallopilli Parakalam, Palakkad, died. The incident happened in the morning. Anita was admitted to the Chittoor Taluk Hospital on February 6.

The baby was brought out on Thursday morning but was dead. After bleeding, Anita was shifted to Thrissur Medical College. Anita died before reaching the hospital. The relatives alleged that the Chittoor taluk hospital authorities were the cause of the death. The hospital authorities stated that adequate treatment was provided.
