Latvian actress Agata Muceniece, currently residing in Russia, is preparing to welcome a daughter with her husband, musician Piotr Drang. The couple is reportedly investing upwards of two million rubles – approximately $24,000 USD – for a premium birthing experience at a prestigious clinic in the Moscow region, prioritizing comfort and luxury as they anticipate the arrival of thier child.
A Hospital Stay Like No Other
Muceniece recently shared a detailed “room tour” of the clinic on social media, revealing accommodations that resemble a luxury apartment rather than a conventional hospital ward. “I chose the maternity ward and delivery room. I’ll be back here when it all kicks off. I’m a little worried, but I know everything will be fine,” she shared with her followers, expressing a mix of anticipation and nervousness.
The chosen ward boasts amenities including a pleasant bed, a dedicated sofa for the father, a coffee machine, a television, and a smart speaker for music. A separate room for Drang includes its own sofa and kitchenette, allowing him a space to relax and recharge. “Dad can drink coffee, sit down at the table and catch his breath a bit,” Muceniece explained.
“Home away From Home” Birthing Suites
The clinic also features a “home birth centre” designed as a spacious, cozy apartment complete with a living room, kitchen, and large round table. Muceniece expressed her initial desire to deliver in this suite, stating, “I promptly want to give birth here! Everything is like home – so stunning!” However, medical professionals advised against it, citing a scar from a previous birth.
Despite this, the clinic is accommodating Muceniece’s preferences, promising a VIP ward post-delivery where she can personalize the space with her own lighting. The ward also includes a jacuzzi and a hammock designed to ease labor contractions, alongside a spacious double bed for post-partum rest.Muceniece playfully remarked about another VIP ward option,”This is not a ward – this is a real house!”
The cost for this level of comfort is substantial. A stay at the center ranges from 590,000 to 1.5 million rubles (approximately $5,900 – $15,000 USD), while delivery in other wards can reach up to 2.4 million rubles (approximately $24,000 USD),depending on the medical team and the complexity of the birth.
This will be Muceniece’s third child. She shares son Timofey and daughter Mia with actor Pavel Priluchnyi. she married Drang in the summer of 2025 and currently resides with him in the Moscow region.
