Haruki Murakami’s novel “The City and Its Precarious Walls” (German – “Die Stadt und ihre ungewisse Mauer”) was published in publishing house Dumont on Friday, January 12, just in time for the anniversary of the famous author. However, you won’t be able to forget your beloved even at the end of the world.

The novel was written during the lockdown. In early March 2020, when the coronavirus began to rage in Japan, Murakami wrote it day after day, almost without leaving the house, until he finished it. In the writer’s homeland, the book was published in the spring of 2023.
