A tense situation with coronavirus has developed in Udmurtia, Perm Territory, Orenburg Region, Bashkortostan, Ivanovo and Tyumen Regions and Tatarstan, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council for Combating Coronavirus. The broadcast was carried out on the TV channel “Russia 24”.

“The epidemic process is asymmetric in the regions, and I would like to note six subjects where we see a tense situation: the Udmurt Republic, Perm Territory, Orenburg Region, Bashkortostan, Ivanovo Region, Tyumen and the Republic of Tatarstan. The situation requires an individual approach, including restrictive measures, ”said Murashko. Additional medical teams were sent to these regions.

According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the month, the increase in the incidence of coronavirus has amounted to almost 23%, over the past week – 12%. The number of patients in serious condition has increased, as well as the incidence among children and pregnant women. Murashko noted that most of the patients who are now in serious condition have not been vaccinated against coronavirus.

Over the past day, 33,740 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia. On October 19, a new anti-record for mortality from coronavirus was set – 1015 people. Several dozen regions have introduced compulsory vaccination for workers in certain areas, who often come into contact with people. According to the authorities, vaccination against the coronavirus will help reduce its spread. According to the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, more than 51 million Russians were vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine, and about 47.6 million with the second.
