Myanmar, over 700 victims start anti-coup protests

The number of victims of the repression carried out against the demonstrators by the military coup in Myanmar has risen to over 700. This was reported by the Association for Assistance to Political Prisoners (Aapp), according to which at least 701 were killed: in the day of On Friday, at least 82 people were killed in the southeastern city of Bago, where the military used heavy artillery against civilians according to some local media.


“The UN – the UN office in Myanmar wrote on Twitter – is following the events in Bago and the news of the use of artillery against civilians and of medical assistance denied to the wounded”. Also in the demonstrations, according to Aapp, which denounces the use of torture on detainees, the military in power since February 1 have arrested about 3 thousand people.
