In the past elections in Tamil Nadu, Naam Tamil Party candidates contested on the sugarcane farmer symbol. But in this Lok Sabha polls, that symbol has been reserved for the Bharatiya Praja United Party, a new party that has lost Kannada. Subsequently, the Election Commission of India has allocated the Mike symbol to Seeman’s Nam Tamilar Party in the Lok Sabha elections.
