Napoli 1-0: Hernandez keeps Rossoneri safe and keeps champions out of Champions League

by time news

Theo Hernandez’s goal was enough for AC Milan to claim a 1-0 win over Napoli to keep them in 3rd place and clear of their Serie A chasers.

AC Milan beat Napoli 1-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza on Matchday 24 of Serie A, staying safe in 3rd place and leaving the champions out of the top four and the next Champions League.

The match started sluggishly, until the 25th minute and the goal of Teo Hernandez helped to pick up the pace. The fast tempo didn’t lead to many chances, but it left suspense for the sequel.

The 2nd part was more spectacular, with Rafael Leao worrying the opposing defense, having big phases but missing. On the other hand, Hvitsa Kvaratshelia was the best that the Neapolitans had to show, since he disturbed the defense of Milan, without finding the big moment.

In the final minutes, the game was limited to Milan’s stadium, with Napoli asking for a penalty, having a post from Jan Simic’s dismissal and finally for the fourth game in a row with the “Rossoneri” unable to win.
