Rome, 29 April 2024 – Edelfa Chiara Masciotta, Miss Italy 2005, from Turin, mother left the world of entertainment to dedicate herself to her family. A life marked by difficult trials that she tells today without fear, remembering her son’s illness and that serious one 2019 accident of which he still bears the marks today: “I had to undergo five operations, I found myself without a nose”we read in an interview with him Corriere della Sera.

Born in Turin in 1986, Edelfa Chiara Masciotta’s career began with her victory in the Miss Gran Prix competition in 2002, a prelude to the crown of Miss Italy in 2005. She left university in 2006, she is godmother of the Turin Winter Olympic Games and she participates in the first edition of the talent show “Nights on ice” on Rai 1, demonstrating not only beauty, talent and determination. Subsequently, she joined Gabibbo in “Paper Sprint” and was part of the cast of “Volami nel cuore”. A very full career, Masciotta was the face of brands such as Chateau d’Ax, Lea Foscati, Boccadamo and Deborah Milano.

In 2010, the former beauty queen became a mother for the first time to Andrea, the result of her relationship with the director Roberto Cenci from whom he separated in 2012. The following year, Masciotta became involved with the former footballer Alessandro Rosina, with whom he had two children, Aurora in 2014 and Alessio in 2016.

Edelfa Chiara Masciotta was the victim of a violent accident of which she still bears the marks today. It was 2019 when the former Miss Italy was hit while crossing the pedestrian crossings in Turin, her city from which she has never separated and where she lives together with her family. “I had to deal with it five operationsI found myself without nose. Full of scars on my face,” she said in a recent interview.

At three years old, the first son Andrea fell ill with type 1 diabetes. From that moment on, Masciotta turned her life around, abandoning her career to dedicate herself 100% to him. The treatments were successful, Andrea is well and over time Masciotta has studied and also rebuilt herself professional life, today he works at Edera, a design studio founded together with the architect and photographer Daniel Ratti and it is realized: “When I find myself in front of my blank sheet of paper – he says – all my creativity awakens”.
