NASA announced the readiness of the Artemis-1 mission to launch into orbit around the moon

The unmanned Artemis-1 mission of the Orion spacecraft is ready to be launched into the orbit of the Moon, according to the NASA website.

It is noted that earlier the launch was planned on August 29, but was canceled for technical reasons. In particular, problems were found in the cooling system of one of the launch vehicle’s engines. Experts managed to eliminate them.

The launch is scheduled for September 3rd. The probability of favorable weather is estimated at 60%. In case the launch has to be canceled again, the next one is scheduled for September 5th.

The mission is designed for 37 days. The Orion spacecraft will orbit the Moon, then return to Earth. On board are three anthropomorphic mannequins equipped with sensors to test the load that the crew will experience in the future.
