Under a blazing sun during a daily training session in August at the Montbauron stadium, a player from FC Versailles shows off his technique during a workshop despite his extra pounds. This is Jeremain Lens, the 34-year-old Dutch international striker (34 caps, eight goals) who arrived in the Yvelines squad on July 27. Since the Czech international Jan Koller in Cannes (2009-2011), we had not seen such a CV in National. The Batavian has, in fact, passed through PSV Eindhoven, Dynamo kyiv (Ukraine), Sunderland (Premier League), Fenerbahçe and Besiktas (Turkey). He participated in 75 European Cup matches (Champions League and Europa League) and played four matches in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the Netherlands, 3rd in the competition.
