Opposition politician Alexei Navalny, as well as several of his associates, were included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring. Several Russian media outlets drew attention to this on Tuesday, January 25.

In addition to Navalny, this list includes lawyers from the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) Lyubov Sobol and Vyacheslav Gimadi, member of the investigation department of Navalny’s team Georgy Alburov, FBK cameraman Pavel Zelensky, ex-coordinator of Navalny’s regional headquarters in Tomsk Ksenia Fadeeva, ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Arkhangelsk Yegor Butakov, and former FBK employee Ruslan Shaveddinov.

Shaveddinov told The Insider that the inclusion on the list did not come as a surprise to him: “It’s pretty expected, because all their actions were aimed at continuing the pressure on us. So we continue to work, no matter what .. “All colleagues who got into it are also going to continue their work. Those of them who are in Russia and are involved in an “extremist” case have more serious problems in the form of a ban on certain actions … I don’t know why all this happened today; perhaps this is due to the premiere (of a documentary about Navalny. – Ed.), perhaps not.

Also included in the list of terrorists and extremists was 70-year-old pensioner Lyudmila Salikova, who is a follower of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Earlier, the Moscow City Court granted the claim of the Moscow prosecutor’s office to recognize the Anti-Corruption Fund, the Fund for the Protection of Citizens’ Rights and Navalny’s headquarters, which were given the status of a public movement, as extremist organizations.

On January 20, associates of the imprisoned politician published on the Internet about 500 photographs of the interiors of a certain mansion, indicating that they were sent from the construction site of “Putin’s palace” in Gelendzhik, which they spoke about in a high-profile investigation a year ago.
