“Unfortunately today we have laid off about 300 employees,” the company said in a statement, “although we continue to invest significantly in the business, we have made these adjustments so that our costs increase in line with the slower growth in our revenue.”

Last month, Netflix laid off 150 employees, including the staff that was part of the company’s marketing division. Last April, the company announced it had lost 200,000 subscribers, saying it expects to lose another $ 2 million in the second quarter of this year. It has almost 222 million subscribers in total.
