Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the BGB members to work according to the chain of command without disturbing the order. He said, ‘Remember discipline and chain of command are the most important driving forces of an army. Never disturb the order, follow the order, follow the chain of command.’
He gave this instruction in the speech of the chief guest at the parade organized on the occasion of BGB Day at Bir Uttam Anwar Hossain Parade Ground in Pilkhana on Monday (March 4) morning.
The Prime Minister said that Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is always vigilant in protecting the motherland. Besides protecting the border, they have played various roles including smuggling, drug control and fire-terrorism inside the country. It is my hope that BGB will move forward as a symbol of the trust of the people of Bangladesh and become a vigilant guard of the border.

The Prime Minister said that the government is working to make the BGB a world-class modern force. BGB will be a smart force. We have taken various steps for their better training.
Earlier at 9:30 am, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the Bir Uttam Anwar Hossain parade ground of the BGB headquarters and visited the official parade and received greetings.
