Benedict Ann was the priest of the Catholic Church of Malangarai, which has its head office at Kulitura, Kanyakumari district. He used to work as a priest in the churches at Pachiparai and Pilangalai near Ashaya Mandapam.

In this case, a young woman from Kulasekhara has filed a complaint against priest Benedict Anro. The woman complained online that the priest sexually harassed her through cell phone text messages and calls. Nagercoil cybercrime police have registered a case against priest Benedict Anro based on the complaint. Two cases have been registered against the priest so far.
