The Ministry of Interior has strengthened security in Kuwait in view of the new year. Officials have clarified that they will conduct inspections to arrest those who organize events that do not fit the country’s traditions and culture. Security personnel will be deployed in malls and other important centers nationwide. (New Year Kuwait has strengthened security)
More than 8,000 security personnel in uniform and mufti have been deployed to monitor people in streets, markets, etc. Keeping in view the special situation in the region, all border check points are under strict surveillance. There will be monitoring through and without the control room under the supervision of senior officials.

The security department has warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate the instructions. Following the directive of the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al Khalid, tight security arrangements have been put in place for the New Year celebrations.
