News 24 | Consultant: Aspirin does not prevent clots, but it reduces their occurrence by only 10%

by time news

Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, a consultant cardiology and arterial catheter, explained that aspirin reduces the occurrence of clots by only 10% as a primary prevention, but does not prevent them.

Al-Nimr warned that weight gain and lack of regular exercise, especially aerobic ones, lead to an early onset of hypertension (early forties).

He stressed the importance of quickly going to the emergency room as soon as you feel chest pain, even if the pain is endured, as the heart muscle is damaged the longer the blood is cut off from it by blocking the coronary artery.
