Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel, Yevgen Kornichuk, announced today (Friday) that Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz is expected to visit Ukraine next week.

The Ukrainian ambassador to Israel convened a press conference today, during which he announced that Minister Horowitz will arrive in the bombed-out country next Monday and will meet, among other things, with his Ukrainian counterpart.

In addition, Horowitz is expected to visit the Kochav Meir field hospital established by Israel in the city of Mostiska in western Ukraine, and the medical staff who have treated hundreds of Ukrainian casualties so far and last Wednesday even gave birth for the first time at the mobile hospital.

It should be noted that so far the Borders have been visited by Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai from the Labor Party, as well as a delegation of MKs from the opposition and the coalition who traveled last week to the Ukrainian borders to get a closer look at the refugee situation. Minister Horowitz, who will take off on Monday, will be the first to cross the border into the war-torn country.
