The Ohio State Buckeyes are Reuniting in San Francisco

Former Ohio State teammates, Nick Bosa and Chase Young, are back together again, this time in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers acquired Young from the Washington Commanders for a special compensatory draft pick at last week’s NFL trade deadline, leading to an immediate call from Bosa to his old pal.

“It’s a little weird seeing him walking around this building,” Bosa admitted to reporters Thursday.

Young referred to Bosa as a big brother from their time dominating the field together at Ohio State and is excited to reunite with the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The two players went their separate ways after their time at Ohio State, with Bosa being the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 draft and Young being the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft, selected by Washington. But they have kept in touch and are now eager to dominate the NFL together just as they did at Ohio State.

“I think the year where I got ended early with my groin,” Bosa said. “We were just dominating together which was a lot of fun.”

The duo is hoping to bring that same level of dominance to the 49ers this season. Stay tuned to see what these former Buckeyes can accomplish together in the NFL.
