It was in this context that Palanivel Thiagarajan, who came to Delhi, met Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her office. Later, Palanivel Thiagarajan met with Union Finance Secretary Somanathan. At that time, Additional Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government Muruganandam was with him.
As the 48th GST Council meeting is planned to be held in Madurai at the end of this month, it seems that the arrangements and date for this may have been discussed in this meeting.
