Orange Alert has been announced by Central Meteorological Department in these districts. Chance of heavy rain at isolated places is predicted. Very Heavy Rainfall means 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm of rain in 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.

Due to the possibility of heavy rain in these districts, Central Meteorological Department has announced yellow alert. Heavy rainfall means rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

The Central Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in some districts, but due to the possibility of isolated heavy thundershowers in the hilly areas, caution similar to the orange alert should be observed in the hilly areas which have received heavy rains in the past few days.

05-08-2022: Chance of gusty winds of 50 to 60 kmph and bad weather over South-West Bay of Bengal adjoining Central West Bay of Bengal, Tamil Nadu coast.

03-08-2022 to 05-08-2022: Chance of strong winds of 50 to 60 kmph and bad weather over South East Arabian Sea, South Andhra Pradesh Coast and Central East Arabian Sea.

Fishing is not allowed in the above areas on the warning date.

High wave warning

The National Center for Oceanographic Studies (INCOIS) has informed that there is a possibility of wave height of 3.0 to 3.5 meters along Kerala coast (Vizhinjam to Kasaragod) till 11.30 pm on 04-08-2022.

Fishermen and coastal residents remain vigilant.

1. As the rough seas are likely to intensify, stay away from the danger areas as per the instructions of the authorities.
2. Keep fishing vessels (boats, boats, etc.) safely moored in the harbor. Keeping a safe distance between boats can avoid the risk of collision. Safety of fishing equipment should be ensured.
