Noble is expected to renew contract, effort to keep Planich

by time news

Maccabi Haifa is dealing with the future of two of the stars of the last two championships, Omar Atzili and Bogdan Planic. While it seems that Noble is close to signing a long-term contract and will receive an upgrade, it seems that the Serbian may leave the champions and join AEK Athens.

Noble’s contract expires at the end of next season (will be close to 31) and the goal is to extend his contract beyond that as well as make him one of the highest earners at the club. At the end of the game last night (Saturday) he hinted that he would sign a new contract, when he disqualified a third departure abroad and added that he would probably end his career in Israel.

On the other hand, Planich ends his contract in Haifa at the end of the season. As early as last season, Carmel wanted to extend his contract, when his agent landed in Israel for that purpose and was offered an upgrade, but demanded a higher salary and according to the club members, this is not a salary they intend to pay.

AEK Athens entered the picture, trying to add him even before he arrived in Carmel, and is willing to pay for it today, according to reports, 1.3 million euros, while his release clause stands at two million euros. Maccabi Haifa will try to reach an agreement with him on a contract extension, but if that does not happen, it is not impossible that he will sell. In any case, a meeting will be held with him and he will be offered an upgraded contract.

Barak Bachar spoke at the press conference at the end of the game: “Bogdan is our player and I see no reason why he should not remain like that.” The professional team contacted the Greens’ management and asked that all the current staff be at their disposal in the pair of games against Olympiacos. If by then Planich does not extend his contract, there may be developments in the matter.
