It has come to light that hackers from North Korea have stolen the personal details of people who have uploaded their work-related sites like linkedin and indeed to register with crypto currency companies in the United States.

Security researchers at Mandiant Inc. told the Bloomberg news site that fraudsters are trying to gain employment at companies that raise funds to support the regime of North Korean President King Jong Un.

By using information from crypto companies like this, the North Korean government can gather information about its future cryptocurrency trends, Mandiant’s experts said.

This information enables Pyongyang to launder cryptocurrencies, allowing the North Korean government to circumvent Western sanctions. Many people suspected of working in North Korea have also been hired as freelancers, according to Montiant.

But North Korea has denied involvement in cryptocurrency hacking and digital theft.

Previously, hackers from North Korea’s Lazarus Group were thought to be behind the multi-million dollar theft of cryptocurrencies targeting US companies.

Following this, the US State Department has officially announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about individuals associated with malicious cyber groups from North Korea such as Lazarus Group, Blunoroff and Unreal.
