On the eve of Novokuznetsk “Metallurg” played an away match in Penza with the local team “Diesel”. Our hockey players won.
The meeting between Metallurg and Diesel, which took place yesterday, October 21, in Penza, ended with a score of 3: 4 in favor of the steel makers. Novokuznechane scored all four goals in the second period. It is emphasized that for our team this is the fifth victory in a row in the VHL regular championship.
“A tense match, especially in the third period. In our performance, I think, we can set off to ourselves only the second period and, probably, the first half of the third period. Then the deletions “broke” the game, and we had to defend ourselves in the end. Well done goalkeeper, well done guys who played in the minority. They held out and thanks to this we kept the winning score ”, – said the head coach of HC“ Metallurg ”Eduard Zankovets.
The second away match of the series will take place tomorrow, October 23, in Kazan. The rival will be the local “Bars”.
