Thaliparam: A nun died after being hit by a private bus while going to church in the morning. Sister M. Soumya (58) of Thrissur Iranikulam Kakalissery Vazhapilli, Poovam St. Mary’s Convent Superior, Taliparam Alkot Road, died. The accident happened around 6.30 am today. Sister Soumya died instantly. The body was shifted to Pariyaram Government Medical College Hospital Mortuary.
The accident happened near Panniyur Pepper Research Center bus stop. While crossing the road to go to the nearby Poovam Cherupushpam temple, Sister Soumya was knocked down by a private bus coming from Alakode. The wheels of the bus ran over the sister’s body.
