Muscat: Police warn against rumors that there are some gangs that kidnap people in Oman. Royal Oman Police said in a statement released on social media that no such incident has been reported in any governorate of the country.
It has been widely spread through social media that there are some gangs who lure people to travel with them and then kidnap them. This fake news received through WhatsApp was spread by many people without knowing the truth. But the Royal Oman Police is completely denying such an incident. The police stated that not a single complaint has been received in this regard anywhere in the country. The police have also issued a warning to those spreading such news. The Royal Oman Police said that no one should spread messages that threaten the peace and privacy of the public.
