A new type of corona called ‘Omigron’ found in South Africa has now become the biggest threat in the world. It is spread in more than 75 countries including USA, Singapore, Malaysia and India. In this context, the world community has stepped up its efforts to prevent ‘Omigran’ vaccination and corona vaccination of the general public. In India, Omigran has already been confirmed in states including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Samples of some Nigerians with Omigran symptoms in Tamil Nadu were sent to Bangalore for analysis and one of them was confirmed to be Omigran. In this case, the shocking news of medical experts regarding the vulnerability of Omigran is constantly being released. The Union Health Secretary has sent a letter to all the states in this regard. “Omigron can spread three times faster than other types of corona virus; controls and surveillance should be intensified in all districts,” it said.
