Erode: In order to protect the wildlife, a major order has been issued regarding traffic control on the Thimbam hill trail.

One of the major roads connecting the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka is the Thimbam Hill Road, located on the Thimbam Hill next to Satyamangalam in Erode District.

This road is the only 24-hour freight route between the two states.
