Kothamangalam: A thief who came to exchange lottery tickets for one of the stolen lottery tickets has been arrested. Babu (Anathan Babu) was arrested at Pala 12th Mile Ants. A lottery shop was opened in Kothamangalam and 2520 lotteries were stolen.

He stole lottery tickets worth Rs 80,000 from JJ Lotteries on November 12. The number of stolen lotteries was given everywhere by the organization of agencies. Babu won one of the lotteries by stealing five thousand rupees.

Knowing this, Babu went to a lottery agency in Pala with a ticket. When Babu handed over the lottery, the shopkeeper became suspicious and matched the stolen lottery number on his mobile.

Convinced that the lottery agent understood the matter, Babu also snatched the lottery ticket. The lottery agent immediately informed the Kothamangalam police. While searching for him, Kanjirapally police arrested Babu for cable theft. He is accused in about 30 cases, police said.
