The government has tightened controls following the escalation of Kovid spread in the state. At this point, the cast of most of the films are postponing their release. Soubil movie Kallan D’Souza has also joined the list of Malayalam movies whose release has been postponed.
The film, which was supposed to release today, January 21, is directed by newcomer Jeethu K Jayan. Jeethu himself informed about this through social media. Jeethu said the release was postponed due to the spread of Kovid and the tightening of the government. Audiences’ safety is as important as the film itself. Jeethu also apologized for disappointing those who were waiting for the film.

RELEASE POSTPONED
The release of the much-awaited Thief D’Souza movie has been postponed due to the dire situation in Kovid and the need to tighten government restrictions. I apologize from the bottom of my heart for disappointing those who were waiting for the movie.
A song from the film sung by Shahbaz Aman was released yesterday. The film is produced by Ramshi Ahmed under the banner of Ramshi Ahmed Productions. The film also stars Saubin Shahir, Dileesh Pothen, Surabhi Lakshmi, Harish Kanaran, Vijaya Raghavan, Sreejith Ravi, Santosh Keezhatoor, Dr. Roy David, Prem Kumar, Ramesh Verma, Vinod Kovur, Krishna Kumar and Aparna Nair.

The film is shot by Arun Chal and the story is written by Zajeer Baba. Sandra Thomas and Thomas Joseph Pattathanam are co-producers. The lyrics of B. Harinarayan are composed by Leo Tom and Prashanth Karma.
