A suspect who was being held for questioning in connection with the Sunday attack incident has died without treatment.
The suspect died at the Colombo National Hospital yesterday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Sally Mohamed Kalin, 42, of Kalmunai, police said.
The deceased suspect was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on December 5 for further treatment after being treated at the Prison Hospital on November 23 due to illness.
The police informed the court that he died while receiving such treatment.
