OnePlus hints that it will announce its tablet early next month

by time news

For several months now, reports have been published about OnePlus’ intention to launch an Android-based tablet, and recently even about final internal tests before the launch. It seems that One Plus, a company that has never excelled at keeping secrets, got tired of the mysterious atmosphere and decided to post a particularly thick hint that the tablet will indeed be announced soon.

On the official page dedicated to the Cloud 11 event, which will take place on February 7, OnePlus added a header image showing the OnePlus 11 5G and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 headphones, two products that are already available for purchase in China and were known to receive a global launch at the event. However, in the picture the two devices are placed on top of another gadget, with a shape and proportions that undoubtedly belong to a tablet.

The “tablet” clearly appears to have a metal case, with extremely thin bezels around the screen. Apart from that, there is no reference to the product on the page, and of course the specifications also remain confidential for the time being. Since One Plus is a member of the BBK concern, it seems likely that the first tablet produced by it will actually be a slightly upgraded version of the Realme Pad.

In its latest version, Realme’s tablet comes with a 10.4-inch screen, MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset and 4 gigabytes of working memory, so there is definitely room for an upgrade and a premium-level version if OnePlus is aiming for that.
