- On january 17, a seminar titled “first Line of Defense – Protecting Children and Adolescents in Cyberspace” was held at Nguyen Trung Duc Elementary and Middle School in Phu Quoc special District.
- More than 1,500 students and teachers participated, with officials from othre Phu Quoc schools also in attendance.
- The program focused on a three-step response to cyberattacks, account protection, and identifying manipulative tactics.

The seminar, held on the morning of January 17, brought together over 1,500 students and teachers from Nguyen Trung Duc Elementary and Middle School, along with representatives from other schools across Phu Quoc Special District. The initiative comes as law enforcement officials observe a troubling trend: increasingly complex online kidnapping schemes that rely on luring, psychological manipulation, and fraud.

Authorities are urging schools to act as a “first line of defense” and build a “digital shield,” recognizing that online safety skills are essential life skills. Furthermore,cybersecurity departments within the an Giang Provincial Police and Phu Quoc Special District Police will strengthen collaboration with specialized units and leverage advanced technologies to proactively detect and address online violations,notably those targeting children. Students also had the possibility to ask questions about real-life scenarios they’ve encountered.
