The benefits of orange juice are likely attributable to its rich composition of bioactive compounds, particularly hesperidin, a flavonoid abundant in citrus fruits. While whole fruit remains the preferred choice due to its fiber content, a moderate daily serving of pure orange juice appears to exert effects that accumulate over time, easing inflammation, supporting healthier blood flow, and improving several blood markers associated with long-term heart health. It serves as a potent reminder that everyday foods can wield a more significant influence on the body than frequently enough appreciated.
