Australian metalheads, brace yourselves: American tech-death pioneers ORIGIN are returning to stages Down Under in June 2026 for their first tour since 2014. The band will be headlining Sydney Dethfest 2026 and embarking on a national tour.
A Decade of Anticipation: ORIGIN Returns
The technical death metal legends ORIGIN are bringing their signature cosmic brutality to Australia in June 2026.
- ORIGIN, known for their incredibly fast and precise playing, will perform in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Frankston, Melbourne, and Sydney.
- The tour kicks off with a headlining performance at Sydney Dethfest 2026 alongside gore metal icons EXHUMED.

ORIGIN first made a significant impact on the extreme metal scene with their 2008 album, Antithesis, which reached #21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Since then, they’ve cultivated a reputation for dizzying speed, razor-sharp precision, and a uniquely brutal sound. Their 2022 release, Chaosmos, further solidified their status, earning critical acclaim and being hailed by many as their best album yet.
The June 2026 tour begins with a headlining set at Sydney Dethfest, sharing the stage with fellow gore metal legends EXHUMED. ORIGIN and EXHUMED will also co-headline a show in Canberra. For the Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Frankston dates, ORIGIN will be supported by Queensland-based melodic tech death band SNAKE MOUNTAIN.
