The women’s football Libertadores is being played in Colombia and Palmeiras concluded its participation in the group stage this Wednesday (11). Verdão beat Atlético Nacional, from Colombia, 4-3 in a match full of back and forth. Both teams are classified for the quarterfinals.
The one who opened the scoring in the game held at the Estadio Metropolitano de Checo, in Bogotá (Colombia) was Sara Córdoba, from Atlético Nacional in the 2nd minute. Then, Bia Zaneratto’s star shone. The attacker turned the score to 2-1.
From 15 minutes into the second half onwards, a barrage of goals. Marcela Restrepo and Stefanía Cabrera left the score at 3-2 for the locals. Lorena Benítez, from Palmeiras, equalized and Flávia Cardoso gave final numbers to the game. Final was 4 to 3.
