Madurai: In the 4th National Para Athletics Championship held in Bengaluru, Madurai Paralympic men and women won medals. 350 men and women from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius and Bhutan participated. 17 people participated from Tamil Nadu Para Olympic Association Sports Association.
Selvaraj (category 40) won gold in javelin, bronze in shot put, Rupa (category 46) gold in shot put, Manoj (category 41) silver in shot put, Ganesan (category 41) won bronze in javelin. Collector Aneesh Shekhar, Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Senior Manager Beulah Jane Sushila and coach Ranjith Kumar felicitated the winners.
